WHAT JUST HAPPENED?! Hollyoaks kills off major character in completely unpublicised twist

Hollyoaks producers have pulled a blinder and killed off one the show’s biggest characters in a totally unexpected twist tonight.

Viewers of E4′s First Look episode were stunned when Lynsey Nolan was found dead by Brendan.

Karen Hassan, the actress who played the character, shot the scenes a few weeks ago, but neither she nor producers had leaked any details for fear of spoiling it for fans.

Digital Spy reports that a major whodunit storyline will now kick off, involving a number of suspects with feasible motives. The biggest of which is surely Silas Blissett (Jeff Rawle), expected to return to the show shortly.

Mercedes McQueen will also be in the frame after trying to keep Lynsey quiet about the whole Mitzeee Minniver stalking thing.

Who do you think did it?!

Hollyoaks recap: Stug’s first kiss

FINALLY…the nail-biting wait is now over and Ste and Doug have got it together!

Ste’s internet date at first sparked obvious jealousy in Doug and this is when his behaviour began to escalate into the very odd. First he slept with Texas (major denial) and then he attempts to ruin Ste’s date by just well, being there.

In yesterday’s episode, we saw Adam (the internet date) even notice there was something going on between them and broke it off with Ste. After Ste’s initial surprise about Doug’s outburst of ‘You’re the first person I think about each morning and the last person I think about at night,’ he seemed to not be able to get Doug out of his head. Though, yesterday Doug stated that he just wanted to remain friends, today it was awkward to say the least between them until the passionate KISS. Brendan arrives just after though which suggests that he’s probably going to be a problem about all this. Especially as it was Brendan that leant Doug the money for the shop (Ste without any idea of course). UH-OH.

Nice to see Brendan back in the mix with his usual charming and witty banter with Joel and we’ve got a new boy on the block going by the name of Walker. I wonder what his story is? First he gets Cheryl’s number and then turns up at the club saying to Brendan ‘Remember me? He already sounds a bit DODGY!

At the end when Ste said to Doug that Doug’s not ready and he wouldn’t want to be seen with him, (which is true) I think every Hollyoaks fan wanted to cry as we watched Doug’s face drop and him leave. Why is nothing ever simple in these soaps?

Hollyoaks’ PJ Brennan promises ‘perfect storm’ between Ste, Doug, Brendan

Ste and Doug’s scenes in Hollyoaks have had a lot of people talking over recent episodes, and next week they officially take ‘Stug’ to another level as they share their first kiss.

But with Doug so confused over his feelings, actor PJ Brennan has promised that there will be plenty of drama to come – not only as far as ‘Stug’ is concerned, but also with Brendan.

Discussing the public’s response to the plot with Digital Spy, he said:

“Well, I’ve been lucky so far because the general public either has no feelings or positive feelings towards Doug – I’ve never really had much hate! I can feel the tide turning a little bit now, but it’s fine as any reaction is good. If people are watching, that’s what we want.

I’m very happy that ‘Stug’ is getting some support and people have already given us a nickname – that’s always a good sign! But I’m also confident that we’ve done the work, and hopefully people who are hesitant about it will come round. ‘Stendan’ is obviously a very watchable relationship. ‘Stug’ will be nothing like ‘Stendan’, but I think it’s watchable in its own way.”

Pressed on the ‘inevitable’ scenes in which Brendan catches wind of this ‘Stug’ business, Brennan teased:

“All of the elements are coming together to create the perfect storm, and I think the audience will love it – even the ‘Stendan’ fans. There’s loads of stuff to go around for everybody and we haven’t sold anybody short.

If people are upset about ‘Stendan’, just be patient as there’s loads of stuff coming up. We’ve been filming so much over the past few months and I’m very proud of it. I’ve seen some of it back and I think it’s some of the best stuff we’ve done. Working with Kieron [Richardson] and Emmett [J Scanlan] is just a gift.”

The big kiss will air next Friday, May 11.

Hollyoaks recap: Callum brands Maddie an ‘ugly poisonous bitch!’

What a week in Hollyoaks!

Okay, so it has become so blindingly obvious that Doug has a thing for Ste. They would make the cutest couple ever I’m sure everyone would agree! Whether Doug will pluck up the courage to tell Ste how he feels though is another matter but from all the looks he’s been giving Ste it wouldn’t be surprising if someone else spotted it too!

Phoebe’s mum returns to collect Phoebe, seemingly just so she can keep getting her child benefit money (not because she cares about her!). We got to see Phoebe’s softer side and what she’s had to go through with her mum. Rhys and Jacqui want Phoebe to stay with them, permanently (so lovely). At first her mum wouldn’t agree but weighing up the options of whether she wanted the social services to know she was a prostitute, she opted to let Phoebe go (how kind). Let’s hope it’s on the up for Phoebe now and she doesn’t do anything to ruin this set up like burning the college down again!

It was all going so well for Bart and Joel as their club night looked great. Though as the saying goes while the cat’s away the mice will play and they didn’t just play; they smoked drugs, got arrested and got into fights. With a little bit of stirring from Maddie it ended in another punch up between Callum and Joel, as Joel couldn’t control his anger towards Callum after hearing he kissed Theresa. Maddie also caused some trouble with Ruby, giving her a spliff which got her into a right state and she ended up chundering ALL night. Neil was the one who got arrested after being caught with a spliff, so all in all an eventful night and as Ruby said ‘Epic fail.’

After everyone wakes up feeling a little worse for wear Joel goes round to apologise to Theresa and you can see he really cares about her but just shows it in the worst ways! Ruby, thinking Maddie is one of her best mates (deluded or what?) decides not to spill it all to Jack, who’s looking for someone to blame. Brendan returns after hearing all about the events and to put it bluntly is NOT best pleased and who can blame him really? Joel tries to pay off Callum to make sure he doesn’t go to the police but Callum would rather torture Joel as to whether he’s going to tell them, which is fair enough.

Maddie makes me so angry! She’s made out like everything was Ruby’s fault, when she was the one who gave her the spliff in the first place. Then she’s planted it in everyone’s heads that Ruby might lie about it to cover her tracks so no one will believe Ruby when it comes out that Maddie was the centre of all the trouble. She even tried to lie to Callum and said that Ruby told Joel about Theresa. Callum saw straight through her (thank goodness)  and used a great insult to sum her up before moodily walking away, describing her as an ‘ugly poisonous bitch’(BURN). She burst into tears but she’s getting no sympathy here!

Hollyoaks recap: Tilly’s new love turns out to be her teacher!

Well, haven’t the past few weeks been dramatic for Hollyoaks?

Could it all be over for Caddie after Callum kissed Theresa? Thought he was better than that! In his defence they had split up but only about 2 minutes before…a bit too soon if I’m being honest! Still think there’s a chance they’ll get back together though!

As the saying goes ‘as one door closes another door opens’ and Tilly found herself kissing a new stranger called Jen after she slated Tilly’s art work. Strange way to start a romance but after kissing, Tilly is horrified to discover that Jen is her new teacher #awks.

Phoebe really doesn’t fit into the sixth form gang and she was desperate to do anything for George to keep him on side. After not doing enough work for his presentation Phoebe sets a fire at the college so George would have more time to do his presentation (a tad over the top?) Tilly who was attempting to avoid seeing Jen ran into a cupboard and unluckily got locked in. After knocking herself out, it’s up to Maddie to rescue her. Fortunately she does this and no one gets hurt but when Jen finds out that Tilly is to be her student, she plainly states that nothing can happen between them. So looks like that door’s closed too but for how long?

After a heart breaking episode where Scott’s Nan died, he goes back to the ‘oaks a bit angry and a bit sad which is hardly surprising. Though one thing his Nan taught him was to seize the day, so he bravely tells Annalise how he feels about her. She basically rejects him saying she doesn’t feel the same but that is such a lie! Scott and Annalise make way more sense than her and Rob. Scannalise for sure (not sure that combo really works though!)

So how much trouble is Phoebe in? Has she gone too far this time?

Spoilers!

Phoebe’s mum is finally making an appearance as Jacqui tries to look after Phoebe and the truth about her gets revealed! Annalise goes to London to tell Scott how she feels but will she find him? And Callum and Joel get into another fight as Maddie stirs things up at the club…

Hollyoaks scoop: Will Ste and Doug get together?

Kieron Richardson has discussed the possibility of romance between Ste and Doug, after the latter was seen getting his knickers in a twist over a hug this week.

The pair have been working together to open a deli, but Doug (PJ Brennan) has been questioning his feelings for his BFF in recent episodes.

Speaking to Live With Myleene today, Richardson said:

“Ste didn’t have any friends, so he’s started this friendship with Doug. And they’ve now become business partners and maybe something else might happen – a relationship possibly… Doug [tries] to set him up on online dating, so when Ste does go on a date with another guy, Doug gets these feelings. Is he jealous that he’s going on a date with a guy, is he jealous because his friend has been taken away from him? He’s questioning all his emotions, and then in the weeks to come you’ll find out why.”

Fans of the show have apparently been keen to keep Ste’s relationship with Brendan on the backburner as well, and Richardson continued to say that that storyline is a bit too complicated to be done straightforwardly.

“Brendan’s always going to be in the mix. Obviously last year we did quite a big storyline – it was gay domestic abuse, which is hard to do. A lot of ‘Stendan’ fans, they are desperate for Ste and Brendan to be together. We’ve got ‘Stendan’ and ‘Stug’ – I’m just happy that my name’s in both of them! The ‘Stendan’ fans are going absolutely mental and want Ste and Brendan to be together. But I think if we really do take a serious look, it’s gay domestic abuse and we can’t be seen to promote that. So he’ll always be in the mix, but whether they’re going to be together is a questionable thing.”

Who do you want to see Ste end up with?

Hollyoaks recap: Dodger or Jodie? Texas needs to decide…

So last week’s Hollyoaks was pretty emotional as Darren and Nancy lost their baby. You just wanted it all to be okay but of course it wasn’t.

Nancy was so excited to have a baby on the way and both are distraught on losing it. Nancy avoids grieving by trying to keep herself busy but soon she can no longer keep her feelings in and begs Darren to try and have another baby again. Darren wisely recommends they wait a few months so they can properly get over the tragedy, which causes them to get into a fight. They seemed to work it out in the end though, realising they obviously needed each other. Bless.

Brendan and Joel looked like father and son at the beginning of the week but after Joel pushes Ste at the shop, Brendan’s soft spot takes over and he hangs Joel over the balcony to teach him a bit of a lesson. He tells Joel to never touch a hair on Ste’s head. Oops, struck a nerve have we?

Ste and Doug try and get their business venture going and they use Tony’s kitchen to make their delightful pizzas. Doug doesn’t put the lid on the blender which leads to tomato sauce splattering all up the wall. Not a good start there! Ste thinks he has a solution though, by buying what used to be CIncerity. Where will they get the money for that though? Of course, it’s Hollyoaks’ kind and friendly resident who’s not at all dodgy and scheming, Brendan Brady. It’s inevitable Doug will get the money from BB. Very predictable.

Texas and Jodie seemed to have a little thing going on. After umming and ahhing about it she finally seemed to have made her decision and gone for it. It’s just not going to work though; she needs to be with Dodger. His emotional side came out last night, which definitely made him even more attractive than he already was! This caused Texas to become confused AGAIN about who she wants to be with. Hurry up and make a decision love!

Could a new romance be blossoming between Lynsey and Riley? They’ve been hanging out quite a lot and they did have a little spark . This is going to cause massive trouble between her and Mercedes if it does happen (and she thinks Mitzeee’s the one to watch). Speaking of new romances, maybe there’ll be something on the cards for Ash and Will? Will has been visiting Ash pretty much every day since she got meningitis so who knows?

Hollyoaks recap: It’s not legally incest but it’s still pretty weird!

WHAT WHAT WHAT?

So a new development has occurred in Hollyoaks. It’s a bit weird. Well it’s a lot weird actually and the overriding fact is that it’s not going to last. Mitzeee and Riley kissed! That’s right, I know every watcher of Hollyoaks is thinking the same thing, she’s his second cousin!! That’s still a blood relative, right? So odd…

They had a bit of a tender moment and they kissed but after last night’s episode, it doesn’t look like anything else is going to happen between them (not if Mercedes can help it anyway). Mitzeee brands it as a ‘moment of madness’ but it’s clear the both of them have more feelings than they care to admit. Mercedes confronts the pair after witnessing the scene and acts in a very dignified manner unlike when she gave Mitzeee a huge SLAP at the Christening. I thought something was odd and it turns out that she had stolen Riley’s watch while she was there and then proceeded to smash it with the very high heel of her shoe in the street outside. She said she wouldn’t cause trouble but you know what? I think she just might…This fight is anything but over.

In other news Phoebe has exploited Jacqui’s kindness by running off with all her expensive gear in the house. A laptop, iPod and mobile phone included, which is really not what her and Rhys needed considering they’re pretty low on cash as it is and now that Ally ( their hot Aussie lodger) has moved out on account of getting his stuff stolen, they really are in trouble. Rhys is forced to pay Ally some money for the stuff that was taken, as Jacqui (still having some sort of affection for Pheobe) tells him he can’t go to the Police. Unknown to her though, Phoebe has actually stolen her dog as well, it’s not just lost. She’s even more upset about losing Terry than their expensive items, so when Jacqui finds out it’s Phoebe that’s taken the dog, she’s probably going to be pretty VERY annoyed.

Dennis has a date everybody! Who could have guessed? A woman from work is the lucky lady and it seemed like it would have gone well without Leanne’s meddling. Does she like Dennis? Or does she just LOVE the attention? Not sure but she made him wear a ridiculous looking hat and beads round his neck on purpose to make him look like an idiot. That didn’t deter his date though, as she still seemed fairly keen. Unfortunately though spying Leanne kept looking over at them which of course made the date feel a little uncomfortable and then Dennis piped up about Leanne’s cute little laugh ( which he creepily did an impression of…cringiest thing EVER)  which does seem to put the date off, which is unsurprising. She leaves in good spirits though, realising that Dennis still has a bit of a thing for Leanne. When Dennis returns from his date though, Leanne goes back to using him and gets him to run round doing things for her. What a bitch!

Some VERY juicy storylines coming up next week…

Annalise has a one night stand but who with? Nancy fears she could lose the baby and we have a shock collapse as one of the students becomes extremely ill…

Hollyoaks recap: The truth about George revealed!

So it’s been a cracker of a week on Hollyoaks… Let’s give you the round up…

George and Pheobe have finally been saved. After being captured again by Deena it looked pretty grim for George and when a mysterious man came to visit him it looked like his worst nightmare was to be realised. Surprisingly though, this man was an undercover police officer and was there to rescue the pair. We all made a grand sigh of relief after that as finally they seemed like they were safe. But yet again they run away as they were scared they’d be sent back to their parents or put into care.

It also emerged that the reason George left wasn’t to do with the fact he was gay either. So what’s George’s big secret? He got bullied and they told him to ‘ignore it.’ Fairly harsh and they’re not even looking for their son! Pheobe takes one for the team and pretends she’s going home too but in reality looks like she’s gone to another place which is still just as bad as staying on the streets. Drugs maybe?

WHAT? After setting out for home, George, Callum and Maddie step off the bus at a cliff edge. We got some flashbacks to George throwing his things off of the cliff edge before running away. We see in the corner bunches of flowers addressing Andrew Palmer. Finally, we get the truth. It all makes sense. His parents think he’s dead, committed suicide off of the cliff edge due to finding all his stuff beneath on the beach. No wonder they haven’t been out looking for him! So George’s real name isn’t really George at all. Boy, they’re going to get a huge surprise when they find out what’s really happened. Though will he go back now they’ve grieved for him?

On a perhaps less important storyline, Annalise and Rob broke up. While Annalise concentrates on her business proposal and learns to let go a bit with the help of Cheryl and Lynsey, Rob moves on in a slightly less elegant way with Michaela McQueen…fail! But no, turns out they spent the night talking and Rob crying. She proceeds to tell his whole rugby team this…embarrassing. Though, after getting over the initial embarrassment, he moves on to chatting up Theresa! This cannot end well especially with Will (her EX) watching the events. He’s breaking the unsaid rule, NO getting with your friend’s ex!

The homeless storyline has been the best since the infamous Silas storyline and has had many twists and turns to throw viewers from the truth. It’s a shame it’s come to an end but hopefully it will be a happy ending with George returning to his parents!

Look out for next week’s episodes as we’re going to have another McQueen showdown and may even get a harsh slap thrown into the mix!!(No one can resist a cheeky slap).

Hollyoaks recap: Time is running out as George is trapped by human traffickers

Hollyoaks is getting serious this week as Pheobe and George are both in big trouble. Human traffickers have taken them and it looks they are going to be forced into prostitution.

Pheobe, bribed by Deena through the killing of her precious dog, lures George back into danger (for a dog, really?), and it looks like there’s no escaping this time as the traffickers have made the house much more secure since the runaways managed to escape their clutches last time.

The sixth form gang have all become worried for his safety and rightly so! The quicker they get to him the better. Jono has been making pointless comments which are not helping the situation, while the others have been out searching for George, hoping they will eventually find him. AT LAST Maddie takes some action and calls the police. Hopefully they’ll find the pair in time before anything awful happens!

The storyline with Scott and Annalise is firing up again, as they become close after his little sister gets dumped. Scott is way more caring than Rob has ever been towards Annalise. So, get them together I say! Scott decides to face the problem head on and asks Annalise to decide what she wants. Annalise immediately goes into denial about the whole thing and makes a cake to calm herself but she just creates one big mess, with flour all over her face.

Brendan’s made a little pet of Joel, taking up the role of Wise Old Cocktail Maker to show Joel the ropes. But as he always does, Brendan has an ulterior motive and changes the code for the safe after Joel has put his money in it. Sneaky!

Elsewhere, Darren and Nancy are in the clear as Riley decides not to sell the pub and Myra and Carmel betray Mercedes by visiting Bobby (her son). Riley and Mitzeee attempt to show the McQueens how much better Bobby’s life is without Mercedes in it. Will this drive a wedge between the family?

A few little spoilers for the next few days!

Rob and Annalise split up! As her feelings grow for Scott looks like her relationship all gets a bit too much. Rob tries to prove he’s moved on but things all get a bit tense as his efforts go too far! Though, are they really split for good?

George’s situation becomes worse as he has to cope without Pheobe but where is she?
