Introducing the Number 1 single for Sunday 3rd June 2012

If you have a single scheduled for release on Sunday 27th May – that’s you, Dot Rotten – then frankly you may as well call the whole thing off, because the Number 1 for that week is already a foregone conclusion.

Lawson have been generating more buzz than a bug on a light (metaphor copyright K Clarkson, 2011) over the past few months and after supporting The Wanted on tour they have finally unveiled their Proper Debut Single.

‘When She Was Mine’ is a big pop-rock anthem perfect for this wave of warm weather; the type of tune that Capital FM will play 39 times per hour for about 40 months and that both Radios 1 and 2 will give a fair bit of consideration to as well.

The lads are currently in LA shooting the video and will be back ‘in town’ for a gig at Monto Water Rats on Wednesday April 4.

Take a listen to it below. The second one from the left isn’t quite good at the whole “stand still, everybody” thing as everybody else, is he?

Wow. It's Quiet Here...
