Before I get to the juicy gossip I thought I would fill you in with a few happenings in the Oaks this week, in case you missed it…
Mercedes has put her foot in it BIG TIME. She’s gone and kissed Rhys. Her sister’s husband so no wonder Jacqui’s gone mental at her. Well, the ‘dirty skank’ definitely deserved the name after all that she’s put that family through. After the disastrous affair with Calvin, Carmel’s husband, you would have thought she would have learnt her lesson. But no, this plot seems to go round in circles. Jacqui pulled out the harsh words stating ‘there’s no love between you and me’ and ‘you’re a whore, nothing less and nothing more.’ But after a few tears and begging for forgiveness, Carmel and Myra agree to help Mercy change. Jacqui on the other hand has no such time for her sister and storms out of the house…and rightly so!
Texas is a tad confused about her sexuality. After sharing that New Year’s kiss with Jodie, there’s no getting her out of her mind. Her plan? To get totally smashed at around mid-day and wake up the next day in bed with her. Though how far did they go and will Dodger be jealous of this unexpected romance?
The big news though is that Riley’s back in town! After leaving with baby Bobby he’s come back after the surprise visit from Jacqui. This guy’s been through a lot and who can blame him from trying to avoid getting messed up with the McQueens. Though has he returned to forgive Mercy and is there still a chance for the couple? Maybe not… as it emerges that he wants to sell the pub. Could his return only be because of this?
And finally…
Out of all the people to be taking a pregnancy test in Hollyoaks, Nancy (newly married) Osborne was not someone I expected to be pregnant. It’s all going a bit fast for the couple and unsurprisingly Darren’s pretty shocked at the news too.
