SyCo’s plan to break One Direction into the American market has received a huge boost, courtesy of teen TV hit iCarly.
The boys will be on set in LA on Monday to film a guest appearance for the show, which will see them engage in a spot of acting and perform their debut single ‘What Makes You Beautiful’.
The show stars School Of Rock actress Miranda Cosgrove as a girl who hosts an online show with her friends. MTV News reports that the boys’ appearance will be in an episode where Cosgrove falls ill after coming home from a trip.
Her mood is lifted by the news that One Direction will perform ‘What Makes You Beautiful’ on her show – only for Harry Styles to catch her bug. But, when the gang realise Harry is playing sick for the attention, they hatch a plan to get him back in the group by telling him another character, Gibby, has become their newest bandmember.
The boys are apparently going to be shooting their appearance on Monday (January 30), ahead of their album Up All Night‘s US release on March 20.
