When Pixie Lott‘s ‘Boys and Girls’ video first came out we were adamant it was horrifically awkward, and now it’s one of our favourite videos of 2009. Her new video for ‘Cry Me Out’ is making a similar first impression, but the chances of it becoming a slow-burning classic seem somewhat slimmer.
The song itself is awesome; one of the standout moments on the ‘Turn It Up’ album and a song that really makes use of Pixie’s voice. The video has some horrendously uncomfortable shots (one of the worst ones lasts for what seems like an hour) and the last scene in front of a swimming pool just seems bizarre.
She dances well and it’s a brilliant song, but maybe this one that will become a grower.
