First Friends, now Gilmore Girls: E4 dump another daytime favourite

On Friday, January 13th, 2012

E4 surrendered Friends to Comedy Central a couple of years ago, and last autumn the transition finally took place. But today – Friday 13th, no less – they have delivered a blow to fans of their Gilmore Girls repeats by announcing the show is being dumped from its schedules.

The show has been trending on Twitter as the news spreads, with popular complaints including: “I never watched Gilmore Girls but why are E4 getting rid of all the shows they’ve put out for years in exchange for crappy new ones?”, and “does E4 not listen 2 its core audience? i.e.student girls we love friends AND gilmore girls stop getting rid of good shows!ill stop watching (sic)”.

The latest cycle ended today, and it won’t be re-starting on Monday. 90210 re-runs will take its slot.
