So the cat is FINALLY out of the bag as Silas’ secret gets blasted into the public sphere. Perhaps not the best phrase to use though, considering Heidi was dressed as a cat when she died! We had a whole mix of emotions to this news. Anger from Riley, horror from most people and lot of relief from Lynsey who thinks it’s over.
How wrong she was, as in Wednesday’s episode it gets revealed that she has one more game to play as Silas specifically requests her to take part in finding out where Mercedes is trapped. It was particularly frustrating when Silas was being interviewed by the Police and the old ‘No comment’ trick came out and he maintained this throughout the interview (so annoying).
There was a funny moment in Wednesday’s episode when Myra, Carmel and Theresa were playing a fitness game in the living room, classic McQueen moment!
Gaz is again becoming his sneaky self as he tries it on with Maddie and then has the cheek to tell Sinead that Maddie was jealous. Why on earth Sinead is believing Gaz I don’t know but considering Maddie said Gaz was ‘like a rat in a drag suit’ it really isn’t the most complimentary line for someone who’s supposed to be jealous, is it?
Lynsey pretty much saved the day AGAIN after treating Silas to a few of his own mind games, which he didn’t take too kindly to at all and went into a fit of rage, and revealed that Mercedes was right under everyone’s noses. This led Riley to believe she was down in their cellar and ‘by Jove I think he’s got it’ as there she was. Fortunately for us, the drama doesn’t cease and it’s touch and go for a while whether the baby will survive. At the moment though, it seems Mercedes and baby boy Costello are safe whoever the father may be.
Duncan and Kelly (to Duncan’s absolute joy) had sex for the first time and Duncan blew off Ricky to hang out with his girlfriend, NOT COOL DUNCAN!
When Mercedes was giving birth in the cellar there seemed like a little tiny glimmer of hope that Riley may forgive Mercedes, but this wasn’t to be in the end, as Riley refused to hold the baby or see Mercedes in hospital and went home with his family… this was truly HEARTBREAKING.
Lynsey goes back to see Silas to basically rub it in his face that he’s just an ‘old man’ who’s never going to see his grandchildren again and who killed his own daughter. IN YOUR FACE SILAS! Glad to see Lynsey can finally sleep easy and the satisfaction of seeing him locked away in his prison cell was great!
*Spoilers*
Everyone gathers to pay their respects to the newest Silas victims and Gaz plans to dump Sinead, What a cheek!
Soon after Sinead thinks about leaving Hollyoaks with Gaz to sell gig merchandise on tours but when Bart hears about this he tries to prevent her to leave, will he succeed?
