Hurrah! Now this is much less sleep-inducing than ‘Run For Your Life’, isn’t it, Matt Cardle.
‘Starlight’ is his second proper single and has a “focus date” of December 4th. It is one of the very few fully brilliant songs from Letters (review).
He says of the track’s placement at the top of the album tracklisting: “It’s a banging tune. We wanted to open up with something that was edgy, something that was strong. Something that wasn’t X Factor.”
FYI you ain’t gonna shake off the X Factor tag if you desperately bring it up at every available opportunity.
