Well there’s no point saying the September Pop Showdown was a close one, because it wasn’t:
Matt Cardle – ‘Run For Your Life’ – 90%
Kelly Clarkson – ‘Mr Know It All’ – 7%
Coldplay – ‘Paradise’ – 1%
Avril Lavigne – ‘Wish You Were Here’ – 1%
JoJo – ‘Disaster’ – >1%
So now here we are, new month, and a helluva lot of new pop tunes to choose between.
Picking just five was a tough call (apols, Florence and Cher Lloyd), but lining up to join Will Young, Maroon 5 and now Matt Cardle in the winner’s league are The Saturdays, Pixie Lott ft Pusha T, The Wanted, JLS and Bruno Mars. Five fantastic new pop singles, but only one can be crowned the winner of the Pop Showdown!
So will this month see the first female victory in the hands of Pix or The Sats? Or will the lads take it home for the fourth month in a row?
