Avril Lavigne matches another brilliant song with a sub-standard video with ‘Smile’, the second cut from her ‘Goodbye Lullaby‘ album.
Like ‘What The Hell‘ before it, the video is a victim of an awkward performer and an average premise. The green in the hair doesn’t really help, either.
Avril’s made no secret of the fact she’d have preferred ‘Push’ as the next single, and we’re desperately hoping ‘Wish You Were Here’ gets a release too – but as it is, ‘Smile’ is an enjoyable track with one of the best choruses of Lavigne’s career so far.
