Britney Spears has become a bit of a robot in recent times; keeping her mouth either shut or scripted for the majority of her very few promotional appearances (‘The X Factor’ last year being a particular low point). So really, her appearance on David Letterman’s chatshow last night was a good thing, as it reminded us all that she does in fact still come equipped with a smidgeon of personality.

But is it just us or is this actually really uncomfortable viewing?
