It’s a great song taken from what looks set to be a brilliant album… but it doesn’t exactly lend itself to live performances, does it?! That’s the problem with having a chorus which features different harmonies sung by the same person – when performing live you can obviously only sing the tune, which in this case is quite low and underwhelming.
‘Boys and Girls’ will be out at around the same time as a few massive tunes (Dizzee Rascall, Sugababes etc) so its work is definitley cut out. Its odds of following ‘Mama Do’ to the summit are pretty slim but hopefully a decent Top 10 placing will be on the cards at least.
Shes pushed the release back to Sept 7th now and Dizzee Racal has been pushed forward to next week, so the sugababes have a clear view of the top! But poor pixie is now up against the new singles from…

lol unfortunatley kelly clarksons song wont chart as high as it should, and I doubt that with U2 being an albums act and the album having been out for a while that theyll be much competiton! but dizzee rascall will probably hold onto sales for quite some time, sugababes should hold steady, and lady gagas next single is obviously already available through the album so the release date of that is of little relevance – thatll probably be big competition even three weeks before its official release!
