A Girl Aloud who isn’t Cheryl Cole has landed a movie role

In a break from the 9,495 Cheryl Cole stories per day this week, another member of Girls Aloud has somehow managed to sneak into the entertainment news stratosphere.

Nicest Woman In The World 2002-Present Kimberley Walsh has bagged herself a role in All Stars, a family comedy starring Mock the Week’s Hugh Dennis, Extras‘ Ashley Jensen and rapper Ashley Walters.

She has previously had a cameo in Horrid Henry: The Movie and of course enjoyed an eight-month stint as Princess Fiona in Shrek: The Musical on the West End. She says:

“I am thrilled to be joining the cast of All Stars… I loved the script as soon as I read it. It is a heart-warming family film that will put a huge smile on your face.”

The producers added:

“We are delighted to have Kimberley for the role of Trish, she is a brilliant actress with an electric screen presence. She joins an amazing cast in what will be an exciting film.”

How lovely.
