Paul Gascoigne’s daughter Bianca auditioned for The X Factor today, but was given three ‘No’ votes by the judging panel.
The beauty, who admitted to being most famous for starring in 2006′s Celebrity Love Island (!), said she wanted to change the public’s perception of her by becoming famous for something other than just being Paul’s daughter.
According to our source (check us out having a “source”), who was at today’s tryouts at the O2 Arena in London, she performed Mary J Blige’s demanding classic ‘I’m Going Down’ to a fairly good standard, but was told she was not in the same league as the better girls in her category.
We are told:
“Bianca was fine but not mind-blowing. She’s got a nice voice but the crowd didn’t really warm to her and the song was far too big for her. It was a bit boring.”
Tulisa, who had met her on nights out in the past, said her vocals weren’t strong enough, and guest panellist Rita Ora told her she was “a bit flat”. Gary Barlow continued the negative critique by saying she was not as good as the other people her age, and called the performance “a mediocre audition”.
Louis Walsh told her she had a great voice and a great image, but echoed Barlow’s comment that she was inferior to other young female contestants. He gave her her only ‘Yes’ vote.
A couple of audience members have also let slip that today’s auditions saw an ill-received tryout from girlband From Above, managed by Beyonce’s dad Matthew Knowles. They were put through to the Boot Camp stage by the skin of their teeth (yes’ from Rita, Tulisa and Louis despite negative comments), though Tulisa told a subsequent boyband that she regretted sending the girls through. They performed Jessie J’s ‘Price Tag’ and were criticised by Gary for having one member out of tune in the harmonies.
