Shooting on the last ever episode of Desperate Housewives completed last week, and with the airdate set for May 13 in the US, teasers have appeared in the latest issue of North American listings mag TV Guide.
Titled ‘Finishing The Hat’, the extended special will show Bree (Marcia Cross) toying with the idea of marriage, as Rennee (Vanessa Williams) and Ben (Charles Mesure) tie the knot.
Elsewhere, there’s the birth of Julie’s (Andrea Bowen) child for Susan (Teri Hatcher) to deal with, while at the other end of the life cycle Mrs McCluskey (Kathryn Joosten) struggles with the very final stages of cancer.
Felicity Huffman has already teased of Lynnette and Tom (Doug Savant) that “In the finale, we dance together”.
Meanwhile, Hatcher, who did not attend the wrap party on Sunday (or the season premiere back in September), semi-enthusiastically said to People:
“I feel like [the series finale] does a pretty good job at honouring all the different characters and their sort of unique wheelhouses that they brought… to Desperate Housewives. Whether it be comedy or drama or physical comedy, I feel like the stories make sense. I think it will be better than some other big finales.”
James Denton (Mike), Christine Estabrook (Martha Huber), Dana Delany (Katherine Mayfair), Roger Bart (Psycho George) and Brenda Strong (Mary-Alice Young) are all expected to appear in the last episode.
